If you’ve ever had to use your mobile phone whilst on holiday, you know there’s probably going to be a hefty bill waiting for you upon your return.
Travellers face the prospect of hefty bills upon returning home due to roaming
charges, coupled with connection problems when travelling to countries outside of the UK. Charges on phone calls, text messages and information downloads using mobile broadband technology make for increasing frustration for those looking to use their mobile phones abroad.
And whilst different providers have different tariffs for using their services abroad, roaming charges will also depend on the telecoms providers in the country you visit. But now the European Union is clamping down on providers in order to make it more affordable for customers to use their mobile phones abroad. The 27-nation council recently accepted proposals to force telecoms providers to cut the cost of making and receiving calls from outside your home country.
The recent EU proposals have also targeted ‘data-roaming’ prices for use of mobile internet services, putting pressure on providers to lower prices for those wanting to use such services on trips abroad - be they on the mobiles themselves or using the handset’s wireless technology to connect to the internet on a laptop.
As the popularity of having an internet service on mobile phones increases, more people now able to access the internet and view pages on their mobiles through wi-fi technology. Some providers already have packages in place that offer specific download limits for a one-off fee, making it easier to keep track of usage during trips.
Using pay as you go mobile phones in order to keep in contact during trips abroad is one option, providing you’ve topped it up with a lot of pre-paid credit before you travel and setting yourself call limits each day can help save you money.
For those looking to relocate to another country, it’s also worth looking into purchasing a cheap mobile phone in the country you’re looking to set up home in. This can be handy for contacts in your destination country, but it is also advisable to shop around for deals which offer cheap calls to overseas countries so you can keep in contact with family and friends back home.

The amount of mobile phone owners worldwide has soared to over 3.3 billion. When you take into account the worlds population is 6.6 billion, that means 1 in every 2 people own a mobile phone. A staggering 50%.
More than two thirds of mobile subscribers in the past 2 years have come from emerging and developing countries. Africa has also played a strong part in the growth of the mobile phone industry. This trend sheds positive light on developing countries as they begin to catch up with the rest of the
world.
In the same time, India and China added a combined number of 297 million new mobile phone buyers with the global annual average growth rate sat at 22 percent.
The rapid growth of the mobile phone industry is aided by people dropping traditional fixed land line phones, for more convenient and some times cheaper mobile phones. This is especially noted in countries such as Africa, America and the UK. As the mobile industry grows, it seems fixed land lines are set to see a steady decline in the coming years.
While developing countries are making great progress in mobile growth, internet and broadband speeds are not following the same pattern. High income countries are accountable for 66 percent of all fixed broadband subscribers, although they only make up 16 percent of the worlds population.
Hopefully as the mobile phone industry grows in these countries, we may begin to see 3G and HDSPA like internet access made available. Mobile internet has recently gone big in the UK and America. Simply by a dongle and you can have broadband internet access from nearly anywhere in the country at any time.
As developing countries mobile infrastructure grows they should take this into consideration and build a system that can be developed for such tasks in the future.

Across the United States and throughout the world, our roads and highways are more congested than ever. Statistics show that the majority of people driving are either talking on cell phones or texting while driving. Yes, multitasking has become the norm in today’s society for many folks. We tell our children and others not to text while driving, but they continue doing it,thinking that
they will never be involved in an accident.
I would like to encourage everyone who talks on a cell phone or texts while driving to consider buying a bluetooth headset. I truly believe that this piece of communication technology doesn’t get enough attention. By using a bluetooth headset it will allow you to have both hands on the steering wheel and your eyes focused on the road ahead.
In 1994 Ericsson Mobile Communications developed the prototype Bluetooth software. This state of the art technology has changed the way we communicate all over the world.
Motorola offers the largest selection in headsets on the market today. There are also many other companies that offer headsets as well. Jabra, Nokia, LG, Plantronics, Samsung, Sony Ericsson are just a few to mention. Now with so many headsets and options to choose from, there is no excuse for not buying this amazing technology.
If you’re a girl, Motorola makes a pink bluetooth headset and it’s the Motorola bluetooth h500. The pink h500 is very small and feminine. Whether you are a guy or a girl,I highly encourage you to get a bluetooth headset. You will be so glad you did!

Before we tell you where to go and what to do for their repairs, let us first ask you whether you have kept the warranty document safely that was given to you when you bought the handset? If you have the warranty document then half of your problem to get your handset repaired is taken care off. All new handset come with a warranty period ranging from 12-24 months or lesser. If your handset develops technical snags within this period, you can approach their outlet from where you had bought the mobile phone and get it repaired. They will repair it without charging you.
There are times that you will find that your handset might be switched off automatically, or get an alien battery message or worse still you get frustrated when it hangs frequently. Although it is tough to tell you off hand, what exactly is the problem with the handset without looking at it, but such problems generally occurs because of the software. To resolve these snags you must first check whether your battery is fully charged before venturing on self-help repairs centers.
Once you find that the battery is charged fully you can moved ahead with your Sony Ericsson Repairs and test the memory card for any snag. First, remove the memory card and switch on the mobile set, if it works then you have found the problem. The memory card is creating the problem; replace it with a new one. If you get a message of “alien battery” clean the battery and it might just work. If it still doesn’t work, try putting another battery and if your problem is resolved, you will know that you have to replace your old battery.
If your handset still doesn’t work after trying all these checking, then probably other issues have rendered your mobile handset ineffective. You would better take it to one of the Repairs center in your town and get it fixed.
